What I do find interesting, is the backlash this latest entry into trick shot advertising library seems to be creating. Have a read through the YouTube page comments and you'll see they're weighted heavily in the Beckham Hater/Disbeliever category, why? Where were all the haters for Roger Federer's Trick Shot? Was it the fact that Beckham was blatantly shilling for Diet Pepsi? Can't be, R-Fed was mugging for Gillette in his. Was it that Federer's was deemed more legit? I think you'll find both are of the same integrity as the other, in fact if I were a betting man, I would say they are probably produced by the same ad agency.

This is the guy who's scored 2 goals in the past 2 years. For those of you that aren't as good at math as I am, that's an average of one....goal.....per.....year. Real of Fake? Is this even really up for debate?
ReplyDeleteI'm kicking around another theory though, unrelated to sports. Remember that lame prank Joaquin Phoenix tried to play with the rap career and all that? Do you think that Charlie Sheen is perpetrating a similar stunt only in a far more brilliant and convincing manner? Food for thought.
Real or Fake, I say fake as fuck, but who am I to judge? But I do hope Beck's manages to score goal #3 tomorrow night when I goto see him and Landon Donovan take on TFC from my 5th row seat at the half-line!!
